You have to show up for yourself every single day.

I knew what I was looking for. I knew what I wanted to show up for everyday. And I had a new vision for my life, what I wanted to explore, the adventure I was ready to go on. And so I continued to show up everyday for years.

I learned about this awareness of who I really am: That I am not my thoughts, I am not my story, I’m not what my parents say about me, I’m not what people say about me. I am not even my feelings. I am something greater. I can govern my life and I do not have to get caught up in the winds of my thoughts all the time, on this roller coaster life.

I am it. I am all I need. I have everything that I need to find happiness and express that happiness in my lifeand have a fulfillment that isn’t dependent on any outside source but that is with me every single day of my life. I wish for myself and for everyone, that we find the awareness that is inside of us today.

"That’s the part that’s so unfair. I have nothing else on my mind. How come I have to be the one sitting around analyzing him in, like, microscopic detail, and he gets to be the one with other things on his mind?"

"I am eternally, devastatingly romantic, and I thought people would see it because ‘romantic’ doesn’t mean ‘sugary.’ It’s dark and tormented — the furor of passion, the despair of an idealism that you can’t attain."
